Challenges and goals
Waxfly is a subscription service that ships you a pack of records each month from a curated, but randomized collection of second-hand vinyl. For this project, we were tasked to build a brand that would “bring the feeling of digging through the dollar-bin at your local record store, without ever leaving your house.”
Our goal was to design a user-friendly and visually appealing set of visual assets that would resonate with both seasoned vinyl collectors and newcomers. To do this we aimed to create a visual language that captured the essence of vintage and rarity, while also feeling fresh and contemporary.

The website not only served as a hub for subscriptions but also immersed users in the Waxfly experience. To do this we took inspiration from the collectables market with the goal of re-creating the serendipitous feeling of opening up a pack of trading cards, but now, for vinyl…

Branding, Website, Copywriting, Packaging Design, Social, Video.
A challenge of this project was the inherently dusty nature of second-hand records, and creating a product that was shiny and rare, but also honest and natural.
We produced campaigns that captured the essence of Waxfly's service.
Our social campaign revolved around sourcing content creators interested in our service to share their #waxfinds with their audience. This included unboxing videos of Waxfly packs, sample flips, and other ways to highlight unique finds and build a community around the shared music.
